Artistic Sound exist to give local and emerging artist a platform to perform and perfect their craft while receiving support from the local natives. Each week we connect poets, musicians, and visual artist with audiences from all over the city.
Not your regular open mic; Artistic Sound is packed with entertainment, laughter, and a good time! Starting with Houston native MC Aprill Renee; who is also the creator of Artistic Sound. She brings a cool, jazzy ambiance that is enjoyed by the performers and audience.
Each week we invite local artist- emerging as well as established to hit the stage, and give us a show. We especially encourage artist to invite their family, friends, and fans.
Artistic Sound is also a cable televised show. Produced by Purple Monki Productions. Broadcasting on HMS-TV (Houston) and Streams globally online via HMS website. Selected artist may also appear on our Artistic Sound YouTube channel.

OMG open mic night was so fun. I even did 2 throwback poems. I have definitely been inspired to write more. Come check it out & support a black owned business.
